Just as promised, the first in a series of build-up events to a massive LGBTQ electronic dance music festival went off without a hitch on Saturday at District Atlanta.

DJ-producer Danny Tenaglia added to his decades-long legend with a set preceded by another international superstar, DJ Oscar Velasquez. Both are scheduled again, among a whopping two-dozen more headliners, for GayDM – One Love EDM festival this fall.

As the photo gallery below attests, the launch party was a good time. But while the crowd moved and mingled, the building buzz was about the namesake festival.

The three-stage, 30,000-square-feet festival is scheduled for Lakewood Amphitheatre on Sept. 11. Early bird tickets are available through July 1. You can also look for pre-sales of merchandise on the festival site, or at GayDM’s pop-up store on the corner of 10th St. & Piedmont Road from July 1 – Sept. 13.

Another taste of GayDM is set for July 16 at Believe Music Hall, where a women’s dance party is planned.

Visit the GayDM website, or find it on FacebookInstagram and Twitter.
